Integrated corporate planning with DATA MART Consulting

Integrated corporate planning and financial planning in the Group means the holistic consolidation of strategic, financial and operational planning processes. For modern corporate groups, it is crucial to consolidate planning data from different areas of the company – such as sales, production, human resources or finance – in a central system and link it with actual data and forecasts.

We design and implement planning solutions for financial planning and consolidated financial planning within the Group as well as planning solutions in all areas of the company, from sales and cost accounting to personnel planning.

With modern corporate performance management (CPM) solutions, we support corporate groups in seamlessly merging planning and consolidation processes. We transfer all data – whether planned, actual or forecast – into a central data warehouse or data lakehouse as a single source of truth. This creates transparency, consistency and a valid basis for well-founded decisions throughout the Group.

The integration of AI-supported forecasting creates particular added value: by combining historical data with intelligent forecasting methods, trends can be identified at an early stage, scenarios can be played out dynamically and risks can be managed proactively. As a result, companies gain speed, agility and future-proofing in their corporate management.

Our customers use various planning solutions (e.g. Oracle EPM, Bissantz DeltaMaster, Jedox, SAP BPC, CCH Tagetik). Actual data, forecast data and financial data are combined with operational levels of detail in an integrated analytical data platform.

We have experience with the implementation of different scenarios, individually tailored to the requirements:

  • Planning applications with full functionality and support for planning processes or simplified plan reporting as an integrated part of BI applications

  • Plan consolidation integrated with the consolidated financial statements

  • Modelling and parameterization

  • Complex business logic (e.g. cost allocations, plan allocations)

  • AI-supported planning and forecasting

The corresponding planning processes are designed on a workflow basis and can be combined according to requirements:

  • Top-down planning: strategic goals are translated into operational targets

  • Bottom-up planning: Detailed departmental plans form the basis and are consolidated

  • Countercurrent method: Iterative comparison of top-down specifications with bottom-up detailed plans

  • Zero-based planning: resource and budget planning “from scratch” to leverage efficiency potential

The result

The result: future-oriented corporate management that ensures consistency, efficiency and resilience in dynamic markets.
